Application and Issuance of SIUP and TDP is now integrated
The Minister of Trade (“Minister”) has issued Regulation No. 77/M-DAG/PER/12/2013 on Simultaneous Issuance of Business Trade Licenses (Surat Ijin Usaha Perdagangan – SIUP) and Company Registration Certificates for Trading Companies (Tanda Daftar Perusahaan – TDP) (“MOT Regulation”) which integrate the application and issuance procedures for SIUP and TDP. Both SIUP and TDP are mandatory documents for newly established trading companies. These documents are prerequisites for trading companies to commence business activities. The MOT Regulation will enable trade companies to simultaneously apply for and acquire SIUP and TDP from the local one stop integrated service office. Previously, trading companies were required to apply for these documents through separate institutions. The MOT Regulation has been in force since 20 December 2013.
